What you´ll do

  • Job Summary: Manage service and technical functions for Henkel products at a major automotive OEM
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for working with automotive pretreatment systems, automotive sealing and adhesive systems and additional process areas. Includes:
      • Performing daily tests and quality audits to ensure processes are within specifications. 
      • Recording results and providing reports to customer management and staff.
      • Communicate effectively with plant personnel at all levels. 
    • Develop effective account management, service & sales support strategies, and activities to cultivate new business opportunities to provide an outstanding field service and support commitment.
    • Develop, manage, and apply organizational resources to provide excellent customer and technical support. 
    • Ensure the rapid resolution of problems and provide technical and product management support across multiple technology platforms.
    • Maintain high standards and professional image of the company.
    • Order Henkel product, track shipments, monitor inventory levels and usages of Henkel products. 
    • Champion site continuous-improvement projects that result in process efficiencies and recognized value. Analysis of Problems: Daily troubleshooting to resolve customer issues internally and externally.
    • Decision Making: Autonomy required at customer facilities on a daily basis.
    • Decision making internally and externally related to projects, due dates and general follow-up with internal and external contacts.
    • Internal and External Relations: Position will work closely with internal and external sales teams, sales management, and technical service employees.
    • Position requires daily interaction with customers at all levels of their organization.

What makes you a good fit

  • BS/BA in engineering or business, with some chemistry background preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years at a minimum of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Strong communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Must have strong problem resolution and technical leadership skills.
  • Strong PC capability to include the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • The hours for this position are going to be M-F from 7:00-3:30 PM. Must be willing and able to take calls and travel to the customers location on short notice during afterhours.  The facility is located in Louisville, KY. 
  • Ability to travel and meet with customers to gain exposure to other facilities and projects. Travel to other facilities will be minimal but encouraged.
  • Must be willing and capable of climbing stairs.

The salary for this role is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
